Aaron Gootzeit, DC

Dr. Aaron Gootzeit, also known as Dr. G, grew up in the New York City Metropolitan area.  He played sports and was part of the stage crew for the drama department. He continued playing baseball at Grambling State University before transferring to Louisiana Tech University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Clinical Kinesiology. While there, he became interested in rugby and strength and conditioning, leading him to pursue a career in that field. He helped lead the Louisiana Tech University Rugby Club to their first league championship in over 10 years and completed a master’s degree in Exercise Science and Human Performance at Louisiana Tech University.

Dr. G earned an internship with Tiger Rugby, a USA Rugby Olympic Development Academy, where he was later offered a position as head strength and conditioning coach. While at Tiger Rugby, he realized that he needed to expand his scope of practice to better serve his population. This led him to enroll in Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During his time there, Dr. G was the rugby Strength and Conditioning coach, a player on the team, and a member of the Sports Chiropractic Club. He refined his skills in various corrective exercise and soft tissue modalities during his clinical education.

Dr. G currently serves as a member of the Santa Rosa Rugby Club and the chapter of the Active 20-30 club. He has a passion for helping youth athletes, adult weekend warriors, and people who work with their bodies to recover from injury and maximize their lives. He is excited to be at ProActive Chiropractic and working with motivated patients.
