Dr. Cohen grew up with chiropractic and the wellness lifestyle that he now teaches his patients. His father is an acupuncturist, naturopath, and chiropractor and his aunt practiced functional medicine, nutrition, and chiropractic, so his professional training started years before he even started chiropractic school. He feels privileged to be part of a profession that simultaneously helps heal people and teaches them to take care of themselves.
After volunteering in clinics in Bali, Uganda, and India, he settled down in the Bay Area to create a chiropractic clinic catering to active individuals who want lasting change. In the last decade he’s been very involved with Team USA and the Olympic Training Center, even working the 2016 and 2020 (2021) Olympic Trials.
His practice emphasizes prevention because it is more sustainable and cost effective. By teaching people to be conscious of how they treat their bodies, their health becomes a way of life rather than something that needs patching up. He takes time to talk with them about their options, helping them set health goals mindful of the fact that health is more than absence of disease.
When Dr. Cohen isn’t with patients he can be found running, snowboarding, mountain biking, and going on hikes with his wife and two giant labradoodles.
